Dungeness RNLI Lifeboat responds to motor yacht broken down in the shipping lane of the English Channel
The RNLI lifeboat launched at 10.24 hours on Wednesday 31 August to a motor yacht with engine failure on passage from Boulogne to Rye with three persons on board, 10 miles south east of Dungeness Point.
Emergency assistance was given to repair the engine on scene by RNLI lifeboat mechanic but for safety reasons Coxswain Stuart Adams decided to tow the stricken vessel to Rye Harbour.
