Dungeness RNLI lifeboat assists 42' yacht with sea sickness and steerage problems

At 02.27 hours on Sunday 7 August 2011, the Dungeness RNLI lifeboat was launched to a 42' yacht with four persons on board on passage from Harwich to Guernsey suffering from sea sickness and having difficulties with steerage problems. The RNLI lifeboat escorted the vessel to Dover Harbour.

Duty Coxswain, Roger Gillett said "the crew on the casualty were grateful for us standing by due to the heavy swell and fatigue that had set in with the continual sea sickness and for being at sea for so many hours. This is what our RNLI lifeboat is here for, if in doubt call us out"
