Dungeness Lifeboat Station Press Officer
Judith joined Dungeness lifeboat volunteering as a lady launcher in 1967 at the old lifeboat station. She was on the fundraising committee for 20 years when her husband William was appoiinted coxswain at the new lifeboat station in 1977 and in January 1997 she received a Certificate of Thanks from the RNLI's Committee of Management for her volunteering with the lifeboat service. She continued volunteering with the RNLI with the Sea Safety campaign and was a voluntary assistant with the RNLI's Sea Safety Road Show promoting the water safety work of the RNLI around the coasts in saving lives at sea until 2006 when she was appointed the station lifeboat press officer for the Dungeness station and also joined the Management and Operations Committees. In 2017 she received the RNLI's Excellence in Volunteering framed letter of thanks together with an RNLI Shannon inscribed glass paperweight, celebrating 50 years of volunteering within the RNLI.
Judith lists her hobbies as grandchildren, photography and computers.
