Dungeness RNLI lifeboat is called to yacht with machine engine failure

On Tuesday 21 April at approximately 20.15 hours the Dungeness lifeboat was on exercise for crew training when it was called to assist a yacht with three persons onboard. The yacht was on passage from Brighton to Dover and had broken down 1.75 miles east of Littlestone. The casualty was towed to Dover,

Coxswain Stuart Adams said 'The casualty was really surprised at the speed the lifeboat got to them but the crew were already having their assessments by the assessor from the RNLI that evening so their training was put to better use'
